Celebrating Stanford Urology’s Class of 2026

Faculty members and trainees came together to celebrate Stanford Urology’s 2026 residency and fellowship graduates. Eila C. Skinner, MD, opened the evening by welcoming attendees and congratulating the graduates on reaching this important milestone. The program also featured remarks from Residency Program Director Simon Conti, MD, MEd; Tony Chen, MD; Erin Grantham, MD; Craig Comiter, MD; Jay Shah, MD; and the graduating chief residents.

A particularly meaningful moment came when the residents presented Eila Skinner, MD, with the Faculty Mentor Award. Given annually, the award honors a faculty member whose mentorship and support have had a lasting impact on residents’ training and professional development.

“The six years I've spent training at Stanford for my urology residency in ways were some of the best and most formative years of my life!” said graduating chief resident Anas Tresh, MD. “I grew as a physician, surgeon, and husband. I could not have imagined training at a better place, and you could not pay me to train elsewhere! To say I've been blessed would be an understatement.”

Fellow chief resident Steve Zhou, MD, similarly reflected on the people who defined his residency experience. “At Stanford Urology, my co-residents and the faculty created a special environment of positivity, kinship, and excellence. I look up to every single one of them in unique ways and I owe my greatest qualities to the examples they have set for me.”

For pediatric urology fellowship graduate and new Stanford Urology assistant professor Cayde Ritchie, MD, the department’s welcoming culture made a lasting impression. “The Stanford Urology family is special. It’s easy for small departments to seem impenetrable to newcomers, but that was never the case here. Instead, I was welcomed with open arms and encouraged to leave my own footprint.”
