Welcoming Dr. Eugene Shkolyar: A Promising Addition to the Department of Urology
Introducing Dr. Eugene Shkolyar, our Clinical Assistant Professor of Urology at the Department of Urology. Recently joining us in August of 2023, Dr. Shkolyar's academic journey began at Cornell University, where he earned his undergraduate degree in Human Biology, Health, and Society, before attending UCLA, where he received his MD. Driven by a passion for urology, he continued his training at Stanford, completing an internship in surgery and a residency in urology. He then stayed at Stanford and completed a Society of Urologic Oncology fellowship.
With a keen focus on urologic oncology, Dr. Shkolyar will concentrate on the comprehensive care of patients dealing with bladder, prostate, kidney, and testicular cancers. His dedication to advancing patient outcomes aligns with our commitment to excellence in urological care. He has a strong interest in clinical and translational research with a focus on developing and testing diagnostic tools and treatments in bladder cancer. Dr. Shkolyar also holds the responsibility of Associate Residency Program Director for the Department of Urology. In this role, he will contribute to shaping the next generation of urologists, fostering an environment of learning and innovation.
