Stanford Medicine patient is free of prostate cancer years after minimally invasive treatment
Stanford Medicine’s Minimally Invasive MR Interventional Center uses two types of therapy to treat prostate cancer without surgery, radiation, or chemotherapy. The first patient to undergo the procedures is now free of the disease.

Global Health Rotation Program
For Stanford Urology residents, medical education extends beyond the walls of operating rooms, clinics, and lecture halls in California. Through the Stanford Urology Global Health Rotation, fourth-year residents have the opportunity to participate in a transformative four-week program at Kilimanjaro Christian Medical Center (KCMC) in Moshi, Tanzania.

The Bladder Cancer Advocacy Network (BCAN) has awarded Stanford Urology Assistant Professor Lay Teng Ang, PhD, their 2024 Bladder Cancer Career Development Award (CDA), a prestigious three-year, $250,000 grant supporting early-career researchers in advancing innovative, independent bladder cancer research.
